About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated Field Service Engineer to join our Water Survey Team in Brackley. You’ll work as part of a small team (2–3 people), delivering field-based services across the UK — including the installation, calibration, and maintenance of flow monitoring equipment in the wastewater network.
This is a field-based role involving working outdoors, in confined spaces, and traveling across the UK, often requiring overnight stays. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys practical, physical work in varied environments and thrives on solving problems in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and calibrate flow monitoring equipment within wastewater networks.
- Enter and work in confined spaces, following health and safety protocols.
- Operate company vehicles safely and complete regular checks.
- Complete paperwork and digital reports accurately and on time.
- Represent EMS professionally on client sites and during fieldwork.
- Ensure the safe use of tools and equipment in accordance with company policies.
- Work flexibly to adapt to changing work schedules and travel demands.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in field-based or hands-on engineering roles (e.g., utilities, telecoms, or environmental monitoring).
- Experience with flow monitoring equipment is ideal, but full training will be provided.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical mindset.
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Invested in your own development and keen to learn new technical skills.
- Good communication and basic IT skills (comfortable using tablets, apps, or databases).
- Willingness to work away from home and adapt to changing schedules.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
