Environmental Essentials is seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Quality & Safety Lead to support the delivery of high-quality, compliant and safe asbestos consultancy services across the region.
Reporting to the Group Quality Manager, this role is responsible for promoting operational excellence through auditing, quality assurance, training, compliance monitoring and safety leadership.
Working closely with operational managers and technical teams, you will help ensure consistent standards, support continuous improvement and foster a positive quality and safety culture throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate technical, surveying, analytical and safety audits across the region.
- Monitor audit findings, identify trends and support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Investigate client complaints, incidents, non-conformances and quality concerns, carrying out root cause analysis and driving improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate asbestos resurveys and support technical quality improvement programmes.
- Deliver and support training, mentoring, competency assessments and technical development programmes for staff.
- Manage equipment compliance, calibration schedules, records and quality assurance processes.
- Promote health & safety best practice, supporting risk assessments and compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Support the development of a strong quality and safety culture through coaching, guidance and continuous improvement activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
Essential
- A minimum of five years' experience within the asbestos industry.
- BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications.
- Experience working within UKAS-accredited quality management systems.
- Proven experience undertaking audits, investigations and quality assurance activities.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation, guidance and industry best practice.
- Experience delivering training, mentoring or competency assessments.
Desirable
- Formal auditing qualification.
- Experience with laboratory quality assurance programmes.
- Experience supporting health & safety auditing and incident investigations.
