Environmental Essentials is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Operations Manager to lead our Water Hygiene Division.

This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for operational delivery, commercial performance, compliance, and team development across a growing portfolio of public and private sector clients.

Based on a hybrid working model, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving service excellence, profitability, and strategic growth.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager – Water & Air Hygiene, you will take ownership of the division's operational and financial performance, ensuring the delivery of compliant water hygiene and treatment services while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the Water Hygiene Division.
  • Managing divisional profit and loss performance, budgets, forecasting, and commercial activities.
  • Developing strong relationships with key clients and overseeing contract performance.
  • Leading, developing, and mentoring operational teams including managers, supervisors, and engineers.
  • Ensuring full compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274, BG50, water regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Driving operational efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting business growth through account development, tenders, and commercial opportunities.

About You

We are looking for a proven operational leader with a strong background in water hygiene or water treatment services.

You will ideally have

  • Significant experience within the water hygiene or water treatment industry.
  • A demonstrable track record of managing operational teams and delivering commercial results.
  • Strong knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, water compliance frameworks, and industry best practice.
  • Experience managing client relationships, contracts, and service delivery performance.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
  • IT proficiency across Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
