Lab Analyst

Job Title: Laboratory Analyst\\n\\nLocation: Durham\\n\\nSalary: £25,500 – 27K per annum\\n\\nHours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm)\\n\\nEnvironmental Essentials are a well-established asbestos company with 7 offices across the UK and an excellent reputation for delivering a first class, quality focused service to a number of very high-profile clients. We don’t just talk about being a team—we ARE one!\\n\\nThis is an excellent opportunity to be part of an expanding company showing continued year-on-year growth.\\n\\nThe Job Role\\n\\n * To competently undertake the analysis of bulk material samples for asbestos content as per accredited company procedures\\n\\n * To work with and assist colleagues in terms of prioritizing workload and managing sample KPI’s with the Laboratory\\n\\n * To accurately record test observations and data in relation to the sample analysis to enable the accurate production of factual test reports in hardcopy or electronic format\\n\\n * To ensure that quality control and assurance schemes are completed as required as part of the maintenance of authorisation status and UKAS accreditation\\n\\n * To ensure that internal customer queries and requirements are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner\\n\\n * To ensure that equipment is properly used and any defects are reported immediately,\\n\\n * Undertake additional delegated responsibilities as authorised by management\\n\\nAbout You\\n\\n * Experience within the asbestos and/or analytical industries.\\n\\n * BOHS P401 (or RSPH equivalent) mandatory.\\n\\n * Strong work ethic.\\n\\n * Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.\\n\\n * Good communication skills, both written and verbal.\\n\\n * Extremely good attention detail\\n\\nBenefits\\n\\n * Annual Leave – 23 days + 8 Bank holidays\\n\\n * Sick Pay\\n\\n * Life Assurance\\n\\n * Health Cash Plan\\n\\n * Refer a Friend Scheme\\n\\n * Employee Assistance Programme\\n\\n * Pension Scheme\\n\\nAt Environmental Essentials, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where equality is at the core of everything we do.
