We are looking for a motivated and personable Sales Development Representative, or Client Engagement Coordinator to join our dynamic commercial team at Environment Bank.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will play a key role as the first point of contact for organisations looking to deliver Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). You’ll manage incoming enquiries, respond to clients, and ensure information is directed to the right people across the business. This role is perfect for someone early in their career who enjoys engaging with people, and wants to gain hands‑on experience in a purpose‑led commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enquiry Management & Qualification: Ensure that all enquiries received via email, website or marketing efforts are logged, acknowledged and responded to promptly. Engage with potential clients to gather key information, qualify their requirements, and ensure they are directed to the appropriate team (e.g., Sales, Land or Partnerships). Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining a friendly and professional tone in all communications.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system (HubSpot), ensuring data integrity and smooth workflows. Support the implementation of CRM improvements and help identify opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Team Support & Coordination: Support colleagues across the commercial team by assisting with follow‑ups, meeting coordination, and documentation during busy periods or annual leave.
  • Opportunity Identification: Actively identify and flag any potential leads or partnership opportunities that arise through inbound enquiries.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales support, customer service or administrative roles (or a relevant degree with strong communication and organisational skills).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – confident speaking with clients by phone or email.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with CRM systems (experience with HubSpot is a plus but not essential) and Microsoft 365.
  • A collaborative, can‑do attitude with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • An interest in the environment, sustainability or nature recovery.
