Having established ourselves as England\’s leading provider of Biodiversity units, through our national network of over 28 habitat banks to support the regulated BNG marketplace, we are now enabling Corporates to mitigate damage to nature through Nature Shares (biodiversity credits).
About The Role
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Head of Sales to lead the commercial go-to market activities for Nature Shares (biodiversity credits). This role involves driving the sales strategy, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and positioning EB at the forefront of environmental sustainability when it comes to nature restoration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Nature Shares (biodiversity credits), proven sales leadership, and a passion for nature restoration.
This is a new and exciting market opportunity that will require a dynamic, entrepreneurial and driven individual to \”make the market\” and position EB as a recognised leader within Nature Shares at a local and global level.
The ideal candidate will have a proven sales leadership capability, a start-up mentality who can build a \”fit for purpose\” sales team supported by the appropriate sales enablement tools and materials.
Having launched Nature Shares at the Blue Earth Summit (London Oct 24) you will need to work with internal teams and Corporates to develop our approach, positioning and product delivery when it comes to Nature Shares.

- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets in the biodiversity credits market (Nature Shares) focusing on market penetration and growth
- Team: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement supported by a business case for investment (actual sales and revenue, sales pipeline etc) in new talent
- Commercial: Lead negotiations with potential clients, ensuring favourable terms and closing deals that align with company goals
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies and identify new opportunities
- Financial Performance: Provide regular sales forecasts, performance metrics, and reports
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, governmental bodies, and environmental organizations
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with business goals and ensure customer satisfaction
- Marketing: Drive the development of marketing materials and promotional strategies alongside the marketing team
- Outward facing: Having delivered commercial success represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
- Product Development: working cross functionally the delivery of a commercially viable product that position EB as the gold standard when it comes to Nature Shares; that is supported technically and scientifically in rigour / integrity.

Requirements
What we need from you
- Ideally a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably within the environmental sector
- Strong understanding of biodiversity credits, carbon markets, and environmental conservation principles
- Proven track record of leading and developing successful sales teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive sales success
- Ideally Bachelor\’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
