As a Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) Team Member in the Partnership and Strategic Overview (PSO) Team, you will be working at the very heart of the team that delivers the strategy for FCERM in Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire.
Job Description

As a Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) Team Member in the Partnership and Strategic Overview (PSO) Team, you will be working at the very heart of the team that delivers the strategy for FCERM in Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire.
Your role will be varied, meaningful, and impactful. You’ll contribute to the delivery of our statutory and regulatory duties in planning, permitting, and flood risk data management. You’ll also support the delivery of our Investment Programme and help fulfil our strategic overview responsibilities with other Risk Management Authorities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responding to Freedom of Information requests, sharing vital flood risk data with customers and partners
- Providing administrative support to meetings and project boards, helping drive collaboration and progress
- Managing shared inboxes and directing queries to the right teams
- Supporting the tracking and reporting of FCERM business data to inform strategic decisions
You may also be asked to support other areas of the PSO team’s work, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You are required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training is given. We will work with you to find a role that suits your interests and circumstances.

Experience/skills Required
Through your experience to date you will ideally be able to demonstrate most of the following:

- An excellent customer focus with the ability to understand customer needs and manage customer expectations

- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Knowledge of Flood Risk Management (desirable)
- GIS skills to utilise and manipulate spatial information (desirable)

- Full UK driving licence

Our hybrid working model combines home and office working, however you will be required to attend the office as per the Team Charter which is currently a minimum of one day a week but also additional days as per our Activity Based Working guidance.
