As an Estates Surveyor, you’ll be involved in a wide variety of surveying work, providing professional property expertise across all aspects of our business. As the property specialist, you’ll work collaboratively within project teams helping to deliver a nationwide £5.4 billion programme of capital flood defence work that will protect 336,000 properties. You’ll be involved at all stages of project delivery from feasibility through to completion.
Your expertise will be applied to the management of a diverse land and property portfolio, including commercial and rural property management, valuation and dealing with landlord and tenant issues. As a confident negotiator, you’ll represent our interests with a broad customer and client base. With an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and best practice, you’ll provide strong technical guidance and support to other members of your team. We’ll also support you to develop both personally and professionally.
Responding to incidents is an important part of what we do, and with this in mind you’ll have an incident role and should be ready to make yourself available to respond or provide business continuity support. This may attract an additional payment, and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you.
