Overview

The Drainage Coordinator is a key operational role within the Drainage Division at Environ Property Services, responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, coordination, and delivery of drainage surveys, reactive callouts, remedial works, and planned projects.

Reporting directly to the Drainage Operations Manager, you will act as the central point of communication between clients, engineers, labourers, surveyors, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.

  • Minimum Requirements
  • Must reside within 1-hour travel from Fulham, SW6 4HH, London area.
  • More than 5 years of experience coordinating and scheduling of works in the property services / construction industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience coordinating drainage works within a drainage, utilities, civil engineering, property maintenance, construction, or facilities management environment.
  • Proven experience scheduling drainage engineers, labourers, surveyors, supervisors and other field-based operational teams.
  • Excellent understanding of drainage operations, including CCTV drainage surveys, high-pressure water jetting, drain repairs, lining, excavations, reinstatement works, rainwater systems, etc.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling and diary management skills.
  • Strong project coordination and administrative experience.
  • Good commercial awareness with an understanding of quotations, work orders, costs and invoicing.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to resolving operational issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills – professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience using CRM systems, job management software or scheduling platforms.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Client Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all drainage-related enquiries.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients throughout every stage of the job.
  • Respond promptly to enquiries, emergency callouts and client requests.
  • Keep clients informed throughout the lifecycle of each project by providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Resolve client queries efficiently and, where appropriate, escallate issues.
  • Maintain Environ Property Services’ reputation for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Scheduling & Resource Planning
  • Coordinate and schedule drainage engineers, labourers, supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Plan engineer diaries to maximise productivity and minimise travel time.
  • Schedule reactive works, planned maintenance, CCTV surveys and remedial projects.
  • Reallocate resources quickly to respond to urgent operational requirements.
  • Monitor engineer utilisation and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all appointments are confirmed with clients and engineers.
  • Project Coordination
  • Coordinate drainage projects from enquiry through to completion.
  • Arrange surveys, quotations, remedial works, excavations, reinstatement and follow-up visits.
  • Ensure engineers receive complete job information, site details, access arrangements, drawings and client instructions before attending site.
  • Coordinate access arrangements with clients, tenants, managing agents and property managers.
  • Order materials, plant, traffic management, waste collection and subcontractor services where required.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve delays or operational issues.
  • Ensure all projects are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Workflow & CRM Management
  • Maintain accurate records within the company’s CRM and job management systems.
  • Ensure every job progresses through the correct workflow stages from enquiry to completion.
  • Record engineer notes, photographs, CCTV reports, quotations, purchase orders, invoices and completion documentation.
  • Monitor outstanding reports and ensure survey reports are issued promptly.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete before jobs are closed.
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance, auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Commercial Administration
  • Track quotations and follow up outstanding approvals.
  • Convert approved quotations into scheduled works.
  • Raise work orders and purchase orders where required.
  • Assist with monitoring project costs, labour, materials and subcontractor expenditure.
  • Support invoice preparation and ensure completed works are invoiced promptly.
  • Follow up outstanding payments in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in monitoring profitability, operational performance and engineer productivity.
  • Operational Support
  • Support the Drainage Operations Manager with the day-to-day management of the division.
  • Identify operational issues, scheduling conflicts, resource shortages and workflow bottlenecks before they impact service delivery.
  • Monitor job progress throughout the day and ensure engineers update job statuses promptly.
  • Escalate urgent operational issues where necessary.
  • Support continuous improvements to operational processes and efficiencies.
  • Communication & Team Collaboration
  • Maintain regular communication with engineers, supervisors, surveyors, labourers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments.
  • Coordinate closely with Roofing, Damp, Pest Control and Restoration teams where works overlap.
  • Ensure all stakeholders receive accurate and timely information.
  • Support a collaborative, positive and solutions-focused working environment.
  • Health & Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure company procedures and operational workflows are followed consistently.
  • Report health and safety concerns, operational risks or compliance issues promptly.
