Enviromena is a leading solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) dedicated to accelerating the global shift to sustainable energy. We develop, own, and operate solar projects that generate reliable, clean energy, providing affordable and renewable power to communities and businesses. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Solar O&M Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair solar power systems on-site. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to respond to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and will involve traveling nationwide to work away from home Monday‑Friday. Training and guidance to advance professional development will be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Compliance with all Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Diagnose and repair faults within solar PV systems, electrical systems, and associated equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance as per the site maintenance schedules.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests to address equipment failure and minimise site downtime.
- Compile detailed reports on maintenance activities, repairs, and troubleshooting results.
- Ensure that all equipment on site is running efficiently and safely, identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with the commissioning of new solar PV systems.
- Conduct scheduled monthly inspections and ensure a safe working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Hands‑on experience with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems.
- Strong understanding of solar PV technology.
- Adherence to all electrical safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to quickly identify and diagnose system faults.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- The ability to work in the UK.
- A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Installation, Testing & Inspection or similar electrical course, 2391 is desirable.
