We are looking for a reliable, hard-working and conscientious labourer to join our solar Operations & Maintenance team and provide assistance to them on site. The successful candidate will assist with various tasks around the site, including lifting, basic repairs, grounds maintenance, and general labouring duties. The role requires the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This role will be site based and will involve working away from home Monday to Friday, as our sites are nationwide.
RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES- Compliance with all Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Conducting general repairs and maintenance on site infrastructure.
- Undertaking basic maintenance of solar systems under supervision.
- Maintaining vegetation control and clearing areas around solar arrays, adhering to safe working practices.
- Operating machinery such as strimmer’s, leaf blowers, brush cutters (training provided), and hand tools as required.
- Maintaining site security and safety by repairing and maintaining fences and gates.
- Completing mandatory training and obtaining the necessary certification, if not already held.
- Driving a company van for the transportation of tools, equipment, and materials to and from site (not for private use).
- Towing trailers as necessary to support site operations.
- A strong commitment to Health and Safety.
- A level of physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks.
- Effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Prior experience working within solar farm environments.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to work in the UK.
