Job Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water Hygiene Technician to join our Scotland-based team. This role involves carrying out a range of water hygiene services to support our clients in maintaining compliance and ensuring the safety of their water systems. The role is site-based and includes travel to client premises across the UK as required. Flexibility for occasional overnight stays and weekend work is essential to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform water system temperature monitoring in line with ACOP L8, HSG 274, HTM 04-01 and SHTM 04-01 standards
· Carry out cleaning and disinfection of Cold Water Storage Tanks (CWST).
· Conduct microbiological sampling and ensure samples are processed appropriately.
· Undertake TMV servicing and other routine water hygiene tasks.
· Ensure accurate and timely completion of all work records and reports.
· Liaise with clients on-site, providing a professional and helpful service.
· Support the completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in water hygiene services, including temperature monitoring, sampling, and TMV servicing.
- Knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and using ladders as required.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
