We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our Sales Team at Cura Terrae Air, part of the Cura Terrae Group. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our presence across the process, industrial, and CEMs markets throughout the UK and Ireland.
Job type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid role – UK-based (preferably within a few hours of Stroud)
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will lead the growth of CT Air’s market presence by targeting organisations across key industrial sectors including Energy from Waste, Power Generation, Cement, Glass, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Metals, and more. You will manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation through to proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing. Working closely with our Head of Sales and wider commercial team, you will help us deliver exceptional customer satisfaction, recurring revenue, and long‑term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets for order intake, revenue, and margin.
- Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and bids.
- Negotiate contracts and close new business across UK & Ireland.
- Identify and engage potential customers across a wide range of industrial markets.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline through to successful deal closure.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity updates within CRM.
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop the best solutions for customer needs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Provide feedback on product development and emerging opportunities.
- Support strategic planning and contribute to monthly sales reporting.
Internal Collaboration & Representation
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams to support shared business objectives.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to represent CT Air and expand your network.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated, technically capable sales professional who thrives in a customer‑focused, solution‑driven environment. You’ll be proactive, credible, and confident in navigating complex industrial markets.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience selling technical equipment into the process, industrial, or CEMs markets.
- Strong understanding of continuous gas and particulate measurement instrumentation.
- Good working knowledge of air emissions regulations, particularly EN14181 and the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and balance multiple opportunities.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident user of MS Office and CRM systems.
- A strong team player who contributes positively to internal collaboration.
