Job Description
- JOB PURPOSE
- Carry out annual maintenance, modification and repairs on the Stoneblower Fleet
- To maintain machines against the agreed maintenance plan
- Carry out occasional lone working field service repairs at various locations. (full UK driving licence required)
- KEY RESULT AREAS
- Machine available for work / for optimum usage in a timely manner
- Servicing completed within required timeframe
- Performance of machine following annual maintenance
- Condition of machine
- Timely ordering of parts / equipment
- 5S within depot
- Complete administration tasks in a timely manner
- Submission of completed maintenance documentation
- Quality of maintenance documentation
Qualifications & Experience
- Is likely to be time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, or Preferred recognised qualification as a mechanical / electrical / maintenance engineer
- Experience within the Railway Industry
- Technical Skills
- Knowledge & understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, electronic, fault finding & repair
- IT literate including basic knowledge of Microsoft systems
- Calibration & understanding of rail plant operating
- Competent in current maintenance standards

- Report any defects found on machine & carry out repairs within required competency level for the role
- Ensure planned maintenance duties are completed in line with company policies & procedures & work instructions
- Ensure working environment is maintained as required by 5S
- Inform supervisor of any issues / problems in a timely manner, which are outside your remit of control
- Operate machine for maintenance purposes, as required
- Ensure regularly updated & compliant with company policies & procedures
- Awareness of company communication via notice boards
- Be responsible for the care of company assets
- To undertake training as required
- Ensure compliance with competence assessment systems
