Job Description
This position is responsible for day-to-day Heavy Equipment Operation activities at a steelmetal recovery plant.
The role involves running equipment such as loaders, excavators, skidsteers, heavy-duty trucks, and cranes.
- Performs routine mobile equipment pre‑start and post‑inspection and records activity on inspection sheets.
- Follows all plant safety guidelines for the safe operation of heavy mobile equipment.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience as a equipment operator.
- Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to read operating instructions.
- Proactive in safety and works well in a team environment.
