Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
Drive, Operate and Maintain OTMs safely, professionally, competently & compliant with all aspects of your duties. To be competent in Grinder maintenance, repairs & fault finding.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Undertake duties in line with agreed roster
- Maintain competency in line with role requirement
- Maintain agreed route card using the equipment provided and learn new routes as directed by your Line Manager
- Performance of machine following the completion of maintenance tasks
- When undertaking machine-based duties you are responsible for the overall machine condition including documentation, tooling, spare parts, consumables, safety equipment, waste disposal and your PPE
- Compliance with all company policies & procedures, including Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental
- Utilise IT equipment provided to update and access Apps and Programs associated with your role (Rule Book, FAMS, Q-Pulse, AARK etc)

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Work with Line Manager to maximise machine availability and reliability
- Undertake training and gain new competency as directed by your Line Manager
- Engage with your Line Manager to identify and implement continuous improvement activities
- Maintain regular contact with Control Centre
- To ensure company vehicle is kept to required standards as per HR/ADV/H/G/004
- Attending meetings as required by Line Manager
- Provide reports and information as requested by Line Manager
- Liaise with internal departments, the customer, other NWR departments and 3rd party contractors as required
- Flexible to work on other machines as directed by your Line Manager
- Travel and lodge in line with role requirements and as directed by Line Manager
- Report accidents, incidents and problems to Control and your Line Manager in a timely manner
- To liaise with and respond to requests from Operations/Driver Standards Manager
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts and omissions at work
- Contribute to the delivery of company occupational health and welfare, safety and environmental improvement plans, and brief staff as required
- Only undertake work for which you have been trained and (if required) certified competent
- To comply with and update as requested, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work
- Maintain and utilise all PPE provided by the employer
- Co-operate with your employer on health, safety and environment
- Make safe any unsafe conditions where practicable and challenge unsafe work practices
- Inform your Line Manager or Health and Safety representative of any unsafe occurrences
- Report and assist when requested, with the investigations of accidents, incidents and near misses
