  • Leading and manage a collaborative team, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and tailoring services to meet evolving needs

As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you will support the delivery of projects through:

  • Conducting hydrogeological investigations, including aquifer testing, borehole installation, and groundwater sampling.
  • Analysing and interpret hydrogeological data, including water levels, water quality, and hydraulic conductivity data.
  • Conducting numerical modelling to support conceptual site models and risk assessments.
  • Preparing technical reports, proposals, and other documents for clients and regulators.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
  • Collaborating with principal staff members on project management and technical guidance.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.

Qualifications and experience

  • A postgraduate degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or a related discipline, with at least 8 years’ experience for Principal level, and 3 years’ experience for Senior level.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., Geological Society, CIWEM) or working towards chartership.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of hydrogeology, including groundwater resource assessments, impact assessments, and risk assessments
  • Team and project management skills commensurate with your grade and experience
  • A valid full UK driving licence

Personal Attributes:

At either level, we are looking for someone with:

  • A positive, self-starting, and flexible attitude with a real interest in learning and growth.
  • A desire to get stuck in and apply expertise in a pragmatic way.
  • A passion for building great relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

The Package

  • Competitive salary of £38,000+ to £50,000+ depending on grade and experience
  • Permanent, full-time contract (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
  • Hybrid working with flexible start and finish times, and family-friendly arrangements
  • Performance-based individual bonus scheme
  • 35 days’ annual leave including bank holidays, plus an annual leave purchase scheme
  • Private medical insurance, including dental and optical benefits
