We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Mobilisation & Programme Delivery to lead the mobilisation and rollout of Envipco’s Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) infrastructure across the UK and Ireland as part of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role will establish and lead the programme delivery function, providing governance, oversight, and coordination across multiple operational workstreams. You will be responsible for shaping rollout strategy, managing programme performance, and ensuring delivery aligns with commercial objectives, operational capabilities, and customer commitments. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity for an accomplished programme professional with experience delivering complex, large-scale operational deployments.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and lead the overall rollout strategy, programme roadmap, delivery model, and deployment approach for the UK and Ireland.
- Establish and manage programme governance frameworks, reporting structures, controls, and delivery methodologies.
- Oversee the successful delivery of large-scale mobilisation and deployment activities, ensuring milestones, budgets, and timelines are achieved.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams including operations, supply chain, engineering, logistics, customer onboarding, and third-party partners.
- Lead and develop the Project Management team, ensuring project delivery aligns with programme objectives and strategic priorities.
- Manage programme-level risks, dependencies, issues, and change control processes, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Act as the senior escalation point for delivery challenges and critical programme decisions.
- Provide executive-level reporting, performance insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Ensure programme capacity, resources, and operational capabilities are aligned to rollout commitments and customer requirements.
- Drive compliance with quality, health and safety, and operational standards throughout all programme activities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management or a similar relevant discipline.
- Proven experience leading large-scale programmes, national rollouts, or complex multi-site operational deployments.
- Recognised programme or project management qualification (PRINCE2, MSP, PMI, APM or equivalent experience).
- Strong track record establishing programme governance, controls, reporting frameworks, and delivery methodologies.
- Experience leading programme management teams and coordinating multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success managing programme budgets, risks, dependencies, and executive-level reporting.
- Experience working within operational, engineering, logistics, field service, infrastructure, or large-scale deployment environments.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Ability to combine strategic programme leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
