About Envipco
Envipco is an established international recycling technology business with over 40 years' experience developing reverse vending machines that collect drinks containers for recycling.
Now, we are building our UK operation as we scale towards the launch of the UK Deposit Return Scheme in October 2027. This marks an exciting opportunity to help change how people recycle bottles and cans.
Joining at this stage means you can make a visible contribution from the beginning. You will help shape our North West field service operation, establish effective working practices and build a team, backed by the expertise of an experienced global business.
The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced electro-mechanical engineer with field service and team leadership experience to become our Field Service Manager for the North West.
Initially, you will be hands-on, installing, commissioning and maintaining pilot machines across your region. As our machine network and engineering team grow, your focus will transition towards managing regional engineers and leading service delivery.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager for the UK & Ireland, you will combine practical engineering with responsibility for people, performance, safety and costs.
What you'll be doing
- Installing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding on pilot machines.
- Managing regional installations, preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Working with the Service Centre to prioritise jobs, coordinate engineers and meet service commitments.
- Planning resources, workloads and routes to provide effective regional coverage.
- Supporting engineer recruitment, onboarding and training as the team grows.
- Leading engineers through coaching, clear objectives and performance reviews.
- Monitoring first-time fixes, response times, productivity and outstanding work.
- Maintaining safe working practices, risk assessments and method statements.
- Controlling regional costs and ensuring accurate service records.
- Resolving customer escalations and improving operational processes.
What you'll bring
- Strong electro-mechanical engineering skills, including installation, maintenance and diagnostics.
- Experience in field service and leading or managing engineering teams.
- Experience coordinating service or installation activity across multiple sites.
- An understanding of service level agreements, workforce planning and performance targets.
- Sound health and safety knowledge, commercial awareness and organisational skills.
- Clear communication and a practical, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to travel throughout the North West.
Experience with vending machines, ATMs or telecommunications installation would be particularly relevant. Comparable electro-mechanical field service backgrounds are also welcome.
Rollout experience, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications and familiarity with service management systems would be advantageous.
What's on offer?
- Salary from Β£55,000 per annum.
- Bonus scheme offering up to 10% of annual salary.
- 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Enhanced company pension contribution.
- A family-friendly culture and enhanced leave policies supporting work-life balance.
- The opportunity to build a regional team during a significant period of UK growth. xiskglj
