We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Support Manager to oversee the operational resources that support our growing UK and Ireland business. This role is responsible for ensuring operational teams have the equipment, inventory, logistics support, and infrastructure required to deliver exceptional installation and service performance across our Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) estate.

Leading a team responsible for purchasing, stock control, asset management, and third-party logistics coordination, you will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting field teams, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operational support functions including purchasing administration, inventory control, asset management, and third-party logistics coordination.
  • Ensure operational teams have timely access to the parts, equipment, and consumables required to maintain service and installation performance.
  • Oversee purchasing activities, including supplier coordination, purchase order management, delivery tracking, and compliance with financial controls.
  • Manage inventory across warehouses and service locations, ensuring stock accuracy, availability, and effective demand forecasting.
  • Maintain and develop asset management processes covering fleet vehicles, IT equipment, operational tools, and facilities-related assets.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for third-party logistics providers, monitoring service performance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Develop reporting and performance metrics covering stock accuracy, logistics efficiency, purchasing performance, and asset utilisation.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations, Technical, Finance, and IT teams to ensure operational resources align with business requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance service support capabilities.
  • Lead, develop, and support a team of operational support professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Degree or professional qualification in Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain.
  • Proven experience managing operational support functions such as purchasing, inventory management, logistics coordination, or asset control.
  • Experience leading administrative or operational support teams within a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of stock control processes, inventory management systems, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience managing organisational assets including fleet, equipment, IT assets, or facilities‑related resources.
  • Familiarity with ERP, purchasing, inventory, or asset management systems.
  • Excellent organisational, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive process improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a growing and evolving operational environment.
