The EV Electrical Installer will take responsibility for the electrical installation, testing, and commissioning of our EV Charge Points. This position is London and South East based, supporting an ongoing EV Blue-Light Framework, but may at times involve supporting wider EV installation projects across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong business with an established track record of delivering LV and HV network connections and high power DC electric vehicle charging infrastructure to a diverse range of commercial clients. We already have a strong client base in the UK and are rapidly expanding our presence overseas.
You will be a competent commercial electrician, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and experience of both AC and DC EV installations. You will possess excellent problem‑solving abilities, and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
We have implemented an Electrician Level System designed to recognise and reward continuous professional development and increasing expertise. As Electricians progress through the levels, they will gain valuable qualifications and skills while also receiving corresponding salary increases to reflect enhanced capabilities. This structured approach ensures that our EV Electricians are fairly compensated for their growing skills and responsibilities, while providing a clear pathway for career progression within the EV industry.
Requirements
- Essential: NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification or Approved Apprenticeship
- Minimum of 2-3 Years of Commercial/Industrial Experience, preferably in EVC&G
- BS7671: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Full UK Driving License
- JIB/CSCS Gold Card
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Desirable: Experience with DC chargers ranging from 50kW upwards of 400kW
- DCC&G 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection and Testing
- SSSTSC&G 2919 (or equivalent) Electric Vehicle Charging
