Description

The CPMS Technical Support will be highly motivated and proactive, taking ownership of our EV Charging Point Management System (CPMS) and wider fleet EV infrastructure estate.

This is a key role within a rapidly growing organisation, offering the right candidate the autonomy to shape processes, systems, and future team development.

You will be accountable for ensuring optimum system up time reliability, and efficiency of our EV charging network, acting as a technical lead between systems, clients, OEM partners, and engineering teams.

While you will support reactive call-outs when required, the primary focus of this role is to resolve issues remotely through intelligent system management, automation and providing diagnosis of faults and faults codes.

Requirements

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience in a Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar technical role.
  • Proven ability to manage and support cloud-based or Io T-connected platforms.
  • Strongtrack recordof diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues remotely.
  • Experience designing, building, andmaintaining APIs or system integrations.
  • Confident working with networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching.
  • Experience working in operational or service-critical environments with uptime responsibility.
  • Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline – or equivalent practical experience.
  • ITIL Foundation or service management awareness is beneficial.
  • Experience collaborating with field engineering teams and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Flexibility in working hours and approach, an attitude to see a task through

Desirable

  • Experience working directly with OEMs or hardware manufacturers.
  • Experience managing firmware, configuration, or interoperability across multiple OEM vendors.
  • Experience with CPMS platforms, OCPP, OCPI, or similar protocols.
  • Experience within EV charging, energy, utilities, or smart infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, or platformoptimisation.
