Due to continued expansion, we are establishing a dedicated immigration division within our business and are seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer to lead, manage, and grow this new team. This is a senior role suited to a commercially minded immigration professional who is looking to take ownership of a growing practice area and play a key role in shaping service delivery, compliance, and team development.

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing all immigration work within the business, managing advisors, and ensuring the highest standards of legal advice and compliance across the division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the immigration division, including supervising immigration advisors
  • Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of UK immigration law
  • Oversee complex immigration matters, including Skilled Worker visas, Sponsor Licences, and compliance
  • Ensure all immigration work complies with current legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Develop internal processes, policies, and best practices for the immigration team
  • Review and sign off immigration applications where required
  • Support business development and growth of the immigration division
  • Maintain strong client relationships and act as senior point of escalation
  • Stay up to date with changes in UK immigration law and policy

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (SRA registered) or Barrister with a strong immigration background
  • Proven experience in UK immigration law
  • Previous experience supervising or managing legal or advisory staff
  • Strong commercial awareness and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday | Office-based, Aberdeen, Scotland
