The predicted salary is between 25000 - 42000 £ per year.

Location: Blackpool – Layton Depot, Plymouth Road, FY3 7HW

Working Hours:

  • Mon Tue - 5AM until 2PM
  • Wed Thu - 8AM until 5PM
  • Fri - Week 1 5AM until 10AM, Week 2 10AM until 3.30PM

Role Purpose:

  • To carry out the routine repair, inspections and maintenance for all vehicle types.
  • To repair and maintain trade specific or specialised power tools, plant and equipment.
  • To ensure Health and Safety is adhered to at all times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work programme given with the requirement that the post holder determines the best approach within Enveco’s procedures and best practice.
  • Tackle and resolve straightforward problems and modify work daily to suit without waiting for instruction.
  • Ensure issues that have been identified with vehicles, HGVs are, where applicable, repaired ready for use without reference to supervisor, to DVSA standards.
  • To repair and maintain any fleet of plant, agriculture and horticulture units to the HSE industry and Enveco’s standards.
  • Required to use diagnostic equipment and practical skills and experience to identify problems and repair vehicles, plant and other equipment by agreed timescale.
  • Solutions to more complex problems to be referred to supervisor e.g. those with wider implications, cost, etc.
  • Ensure HGV MOTs are carried out to the required standard to pass the effects operator compliance risk score to avoid the risk of jeopardising the Operator Licence with the Traffic Commission.
  • Paperwork to be completed on a daily basis in line with compliance requirements.
