At ENVEA, we design advanced environmental monitoring and sensing solutions used worldwide to help industries improve processes and reduce emissions. We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our international R&D team, working with colleagues in the UK and Germany to develop the next generation of environmental monitoring technology.

What We are Looking For

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Strong commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++.
  • Experience with embedded microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems.
  • Good understanding of embedded hardware, electronic schematics and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience using Git and modern software development practices.
  • Strong debugging, testing and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with STM32, Renesas, Microchip or Atmel microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of MISRA C, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS.
  • Understanding of functional safety or safety-critical software (IEC 61508/SIL).
  • Familiarity with FPGA/VHDL development.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence or similar Agile development tools.
  • Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW experience.

The Role

  • Design, develop and test embedded software for new products.
  • Support existing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on hardware and software integration.
  • Review, optimise and maintain high-quality code.
  • Produce technical documentation and test reports.
  • Contribute to product verification, validation and continuous improvement.
  • Work with an international R&D team to deliver innovative solutions.
