Installation Technician - Field-based (UK & International Travel)
Full Time, Permanent
Join Envea, a global leader in environmental monitoring technology. Our Engineering Department designs, builds, installs, and commissions world-class Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and fixed gas detection solutions across the globe. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Installation Technician to support the delivery of high-quality engineering projects from build through to installation and commissioning.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels and systems to technical drawings.
- Install mains, LV, control, and communication wiring.
- Fit and integrate instrumentation, control equipment, and analyser housings.
- Carry out pneumatic layouts and installations.
- Complete QC testing and resolve any defects.
- Travel to client sites (Monday–Friday), with occasional workshop work as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in industrial installation, production, or manufacturing.
- NVQ, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control systems.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or sound knowledge).
- Pneumatic experience and valid driving licence.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player with great attention to detail.
- Willing to mentor apprentices and contribute to a positive team culture.
Desirable:
- IPAF, COMPEX, CCNSG qualifications.
- Work on diverse, technically challenging global projects.
