We have opportunities in the following areas - NE (Middlesborough/Durham) and M62 corridor (Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Castleford).
The role of Field Service Engineer is to provide product support, service, test and repair of the full range of ENVEA equipment across Customer sites in the UK. The role may also require training customers in correct use and maintenance of their product and telephone support as necessary. Other duties may include feeding back knowledge and experience to support development of best practice within the Service Department.
Responsibilities:- Provide service and support to your allocated cluster of sites, including all associated documentation & paperwork using company reporting/knowledge/ticketing software/database.
- Travel to customer’s industrial sites to repair, commission, calibrate, service and fault find (to board level only) ENVEA products.
- Provide advice to customers to help them configure systems for their applications and diagnose on site problems.
- Provide customers with up to date and accurate information on products and services available, calibration services and training.
- Carry out functionality and system training at both customer sites and ENVEA premises.
- Ensure full and accurate data entry into customer database and timely completion of Service Reports.
- Offer feedback, through the Service Area Supervisor/Service Manager, regarding equipment issues and ideas to assist future product development of features and function.
- Provide feedback to the sales team to promote future business opportunities.
- Communicate with the Engineering teams to ensure lessons learnt from field problems are incorporated into future product iterations.
- Degree, HND or Equivalent in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with Instrumentation in previous roles preferred in an Industrial environment.
- Experience in customer service/support and resolving problems to customer’s satisfaction.
- Electronics experience, ideally with an instrumentation background.
- Field service experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of Gas analysers/Particulate Emission Monitors would be a distinct advantage.
- Use of IT for equipment test, and reports writing.
- Use of standard test equipment.
Travel is part of the core of the role, and you will be required to attend customer sites across the allocated area and occasionally upon request across the UK. Some work may require overnight stays away from home, and on occasion this may be up to a week in duration. Very occasionally the opportunity to travel to international customers may be available.
