We have a superb opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our UK R&D Team based in Swavesey, just outside of Cambridge.
Role:
Monitor and manage development projects for new products of the Group, and provide expertise and support for existing products. Ensure the smooth running of the department.
Responsibities:
- Managing the Group's dedicated R&D team
- Ensure the development of skills within his/her teams
- Propose innovations and/or improvements to meet any market demand
- Participate in the elaboration of the road map
- Set up the required organization and resources to implement the road map
- Monitor the roadmap: schedule of deliverables, activity budget and reporting on project progress (technical, financial and deadlines) in accordance with the development guide
- Ensure that the technical, financial and deadline requirements of each project are respected
- Organize and lead progress and phase validation meetings in line with the development guide
- Measure risks and identify difficulties (propose solutions)
- Propose and monitor an annual R&D budget / subsidies / research tax credit (CIR)
- Monitor product certification applications and ensure the maintainability of these certifications
- Participate in the continuous improvement of existing products as part of the Quality management process (product modifications, non-conformities, customer complaints, improvement sheets, etc.)
- Create public/private research partnerships and prepare funding applications for collaborative projects with these partners.
- Provide operational support to other departments or customers
- Manage patents and licences
- Ensure technological development and/or bibliographic monitoring
- Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental rules and any other regulations in force within the company
