The engineering department is a key part of the Envea global business. The engineering team are involved in the design, build, installation & commissioning of all CEMS & fixed gas detection projects within Envea global. The key function of this role is to make sure that all systems (CEMS or Fixed Gas Detection) are built within timeframes and quality constraints so that our project and production obligations are met.
Examples of what the Workshop Technician role encompasses:
- Produce electrical control panels, racks & products to drawings and instruction provided.
- Installation of wiring & component support systems – trunking, DIN rail, all aspects of containment etc.
- Installation of instrumentation and control equipment and integration of systems.
- Carry out installation, identification and termination of mains, LV, control, communication & I/O wiring.
- Carry out pneumatic design, layout and fit out within systems.
- Fit out of analyser housings to drawings and schematics and instruction provided.
- Installation of cable support systems – tray, basket, conduit, support channels, etc.
- Installation of panels, racks, and ancillary equipment – lighting, power distribution, ventilation, etc.
- QC testing and snag defect resolution.
Candidate Requirements:
- Good punctuality and time keeping.
- Proven team player.
- Enthusiasm to deliver high-quality systems to time frames and schedule.
- Good communicator on all levels.
- Self-motivated.
- Conscientious with an eye for detail.
- A willingness to learn.
- Work well under pressure and out of your comfort zone.
- A willingness to mentor and tutor apprentices/trainees.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in a similar role within a production/manufacturing setting.
- Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC or Equivalent in relevant area of Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and schematics.
- IT literate.
- Technical knowledge of electrical control systems, panel build and electrical installation and integration.
- Proven successful track record.
- Fault finding diagnostics.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regs or good understanding of wiring regs.
- Pneumatic experience.
