Key Responsibilities
- Planning and scheduled maintenance.
- Assist with breakdowns as required, including out of hours assistance.
- Actively support, promote and drive the maintenance systems.
- Upkeep of reports, records and software.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Supervise Shift Engineers, Apprentices and Contractors.
- Actively participate in machinery improvements.
- Carry out root cause analysis.
- Maintain shift cover during abnormal absence/sickness periods.
- Able to create CAD drawings.
- Actively promote teamwork.
- Liaise with other departments.
Skills & Knowledge
- HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
- 5 or more GCSEs (or equivalent) at A‑C grade, which will include English, Mathematics and Science (essential).
- Previous experience in a fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment (essential).
- Previous experience in a BRC Certified workplace (desirable).
- Previous experience reacting to mechanical breakdowns (essential).
- Experience in analytical problem solving (essential).
- Experience in leading a team (desirable).
