Compensation: £16 / year

Key Responsibilities

• Operate LGV vehicles safely and efficiently to complete trade waste collections.
• Conduct daily pre‑start vehicle inspections and report any defects, breakdowns, or incidents promptly.
• Ensure all Health & Safety obligations are met and company policies are followed.
• Report safety concerns, hazards, or incidents in a timely manner to allow investigation and prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer documentation.
• Use handheld devices or tickets to record collection details and obtain customer signatures.
• Ensure skips placed on public roads have correct permits, lights, and cones as per company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and promote a positive company image at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent Enva professionally on every route.
• Actively participate in driver debriefs, highlighting any safety issues, vehicle defects, or route improvements.
• Support operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the Transport department.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Full HGV (LGV) licence.
• Valid CPC qualification.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety, checks, and compliance.
• Health and Safety awareness.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.

Desirable

• Experience operating waste collection or similar commercial vehicles.
• Basic vehicle maintenance experience.
• Previous experience in a fast‑paced or customer‑facing environment.
