As an FLT Operative at Enva’s WEEE Transfer Site in Stourbridge, you will play a vital role in the safe handling, movement, and processing of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). You will operate a forklift truck to load, unload and transfer materials. This includes small domestic appliances and refrigeration units ensuring they are directed to the correct recycling streams. This role supports Enva’s commitment to sustainability by enabling efficient, compliant, and environmentally responsible waste management.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move and transport WEEE materials across the site.
- Load and unload items such as TVs, computers, small electricals, fridges, and other electronic devices, ensuring correct segregation for recycling.
- Support the continuous flow of materials through the site, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
- Work in line with all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Complete daily FLT checks and report defects immediately.
- Follow safe lifting and handling practices.
- Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to achieve daily operational targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment, promptly addressing any hazards.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience within recycling, waste management, logistics or similar operational environments (preferred).
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Effective communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude.
Job Requirements
- Full-time role based in Stourbridge.
- 42.5 hours (shift pattern to be confirmed). Overtime available.
- A Fork Lift Licence is required.
- Work environment is predominantly outdoors or processing facility.
- Regular exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn.
