Enva Specialist Scotland is seeking a Class 1 ADR Driver to safely transport hazardous goods by road while complying with strict legal, safety, and environmental regulations. This is a full-time, permanent role in Lugton.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, secure, and unload hazardous cargo properly.
- Check vehicle safety (daily inspections, defect reporting).
- Ensure correct documentation and labelling for ADR loads.
- Follow route plans and safety procedures, especially for high-risk materials.
- Respond correctly in case of emergencies (spills, leaks, accidents).
- Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to the Transport department.
- Report all accidents, vehicle defects, and breakdowns.
- Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
- Operate vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
- Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence on Enva reporting system.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Hold a valid HGV licence.
- Hold ADR licence covering tanks and packages.
- Hold a valid digital tachograph card and have completed all CPC requirements.
