We’re looking for an experienced and commercially focused Service Partner Lead to join our Commercial team based at our Colwick site. This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing and optimising Enva’s subcontractor and supplier network across our waste and recycling supply chain. You’ll work closely with operational, compliance, and commercial teams to ensure our third‑party service providers deliver safe, compliant, cost‑effective, and high‑performing solutions that support both our customers and wider business objectives. This is not an administrative role; it’s a strategic, commercially driven position with real influence across supplier performance, compliance, ESG delivery, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement subcontractor and supply chain strategies aligned with business growth plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, treatment facilities, logistics providers, and recycling partners.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct supplier due diligence, including environmental permits, operational capability, and financial stability checks.
- Lead supplier audits covering compliance, traceability, health & safety, and environmental performance.
- Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts, SLAs, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor market trends, pricing structures, and opportunities to improve margins and reduce costs.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support ESG and sustainability objectives including recycling performance, carbon reduction, and waste hierarchy compliance.
- Work closely with Operations, Compliance, SHEQ, and Key Account teams to support service delivery and customer requirements.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert on subcontractor capability and waste supply chain performance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Previous experience within waste management, recycling, environmental services, logistics, or a similar sector.
- Strong subcontractor, supplier, or supply chain management experience.
- Excellent commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of UK waste legislation and Duty of Care requirements.
- Experience managing supplier performance, contracts, and compliance processes.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
- Commercially focused with a proactive and results‑driven approach.
Desirable
- Experience conducting supplier or compliance audits.
- Knowledge of waste treatment and disposal routes including MRF, RDF, SRF, hazardous waste, and EfW.
- WAMITAB, CIWM, IOSH, or NEBOSH qualification.
- Experience managing multi‑site supplier networks.
