Enva Recycling Scotland is hiring a HGV Driver - Class 2 to join the Linwood depot on a permanent basis. In this role, you will ensure to safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
- Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
- Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
- Complete relevant tickets or use the handheld device (as appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
- Ensure that skips placed on the road have a road permit, and lights and cones are placed around the skip as detailed in Company procedures.
- Maintain health, safety and welfare standards in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
- Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
