As a FLT Operative at ENVA, based in Grantham, you will play a key role in the recycling and processing of Small Domestic Appliances and fridges. You will be responsible for operating an FLT to move, lift, load and unload materials including electronic waste and refrigeration units for further recycling or disposal, adhering to safety and environmental regulations. This position contributes to ENVA's sustainability efforts by promoting efficient waste management and recycling practices.
Job Requirements
- Full‑time role based in Grantham.
- 42.5 hours per week, 6 pm – 3 am.
- OT is available.
- An FLT Licence is required.
- Manual handling of LDA and unloading of vehicles with physical movement.
- Work environment is predominantly in a warehouse or processing facility.
- Regular exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to lift and transport materials to designated areas.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials such as televisions, computers, mobile phones, fridges, and other electronic devices to ensure they are directed to the correct recycling streams.
- Monitor and control continuous flow of materials in the factory.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly those relating to forklift, including conducting routine inspections and maintenance of the forklift.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Work closely with other team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets, supporting overall operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring work areas are free of hazards.
