Are you early in your HSE career looking for an exciting move within a large, industry leading organisation offering the chance to develop your skillset and kick-start HSE your career? Enva are looking for a Junior HSE Advisor to join a close-knit team at this businesses’ expanding eWaste facility where you will be provided with a structured development and mentorship plan alongside the Group HSE Manager.
The purpose of this role is to support the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager as the site is expanding rapidly, and so is the need to ensure continued Health & Safety across the plan. As a Junior Advisor, you will support with delivering new HSE processes, building relationships with staff at all levels, conducting internal audits and upholding safety standards.
Primarily centred around Waste Management, this business is expanding rapidly in the fields of Resource Recovery and Circular Economy, ensuring nothing truly goes to waste. They are leading key UK & Ireland sustainability projects as they look to recycle more materials ranging from Metals, Plastics and Oil through to Hazardous Waste and identifying ways to utilise these to create clean energy and fully recycled products.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of HSE awareness promoting involvement in HSE programs, communicating with personnel on best practice, and enforcing safety as part of company culture.
- Conducting audits (primarily ISO9001, 14001 & 45001), risk assessments, reviewing site processes and supporting new procedure implementation.
- Show a keen desire to develop and continue building your HSE skillset.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Some experience in a HSE role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment (although not essential), and a desire to build a career in Health & Safety.
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, with an interest in leading and implementing HSE procedures.
- Knowledge of or an interest in the Waste Management industry is desirable but not essential.
