Description
We are recruiting for HGV Driver (Trade Waste) to join the team at our site in Linwood.
In this role the successful candidate will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
- Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
- Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
- Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
- Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
- The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
- Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
- Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
This is not an exhaustive list. You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the scope, spirit and purpose of this role.

- Class 2 LGV driving licence.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
