Description
We are seeking a detailed oriented and experienced Group Finance Accountant to join our finance team at our site in Linwood.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the consolidation of financial accounts, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, managing group reporting processes and supporting key financial planning and analysis activities.
This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity and performance of the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of balance sheet, P&L account for Group companies.
- Consolidating month-end results for the multi-entity Group within the reporting timetable
- Monitor performance against forecast/budget for centralised functions. Ensure each budget holder has sufficient information to monitor their own performance against forecast/budget.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in preparing annual consolidated and around 30 subsidiary statutory accounts compliant with IFRS.
- Manage and coordinate the annual Group audit process.
- Assist with various VAT and Corporation tax compliance requests.
- Work with the FP&A team with month-end reporting requirements.
- Assisting with various ad hoc tasks for external stakeholders.
- Reconciling all intercompany relationships, investigating and ensuring errors are corrected on a timely basis.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly bank reporting requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Qualified professional accountant (CIMA/CA/ACA) or working towards the accounting qualification or equivalent
- Experience working within a complex, fast paced finance function
- Confident with expertise to challenge numbers and finance processes
- Ability to work with high volumes of data and highly numerate
- Excellent Excel skills and ability to pick up and drive process and system developments
- In-depth knowledge of consolidation accounting experience preferred
- Experience of IFRS
- CCH accounts preparation and NAV systems experience (desirable but not essential)
