As a Forklift Driver at Enva's Grantham facility, you will play a vital role in supporting the safe and efficient handling, movement, processing and storage of materials across the site. Operating a counterbalance forklift truck, you will transport materials, finished products, containers and equipment to support production, recycling, re-use and logistics activities. Working as part of the site operations team, you will ensure materials are available where required, contribute to production targets, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently in line with site procedures and legal requirements.
  • Load, unload, move and store incoming and outgoing materials, products, baled waste, containers and equipment across the Grantham site.
  • Supply production and processing areas with materials and remove finished products or waste streams as required.
  • Support goods-in, production, recycling, re-use, storage and dispatch activities to maintain operational flow.
  • Carry out vehicle loading and unloading activities, ensuring correct segregation, identification and storage of materials.
  • Complete daily forklift inspections and basic operational checks, reporting defects promptly.
  • Monitor stock movement and assist with stock control activities as directed.
  • Ensure materials are placed in the correct locations and handled in accordance with operational, environmental and quality standards.
  • Assist with site housekeeping duties, keeping work areas clean, organised and free from hazards.
  • Support production teams in achieving daily throughput and operational targets.
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental and security procedures, reporting near misses, unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors and other departments to ensure efficient site operations.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Job Requirements

  • Full-time permanent role based in Grantham.
  • Various shift patterns are available, including days, afternoons, nights and rotational shift arrangements, depending on operational requirements.
  • Overtime opportunities may be available.
  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence required.
  • Previous experience operating forklift trucks in a manufacturing, warehousing, recycling or industrial environment is desirable.
  • Work environment is predominantly warehouse, yard and processing facility based.
  • Regular exposure to noise, dust, vehicle movements and heavy machinery.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times.

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
  • Previous experience operating forklift trucks in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience within recycling, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or waste management environments desirable.
