The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

To contribute to the department by supporting the inbound processing and outbound materials operation, loading containers, maintenance & operation of loading shovel & static equipment, load inspecting and general housekeeping. Loading Shovel 360 or Telehandler licence required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure understanding of the daily production plan, your duties and where you fit into operations.
  • Complete daily start up checks on all machinery and report defects where necessary.
  • Ensure enough material is available to enable continuous production.
  • Support the site operation by emptying tip bins, moving materials when requested and assisting with refuelling, cleaning, and housekeeping duties.
  • Ensure you have and wear the required personal protective equipment and it is in good order to carry out your duties.
  • To follow all site and company procedures, conduct your duties safely not endanger yourselves and others.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Operate necessary mobile and process plant in accordance with the requirements of the department and training.
  • Operate necessary static plant in accordance with the requirements of the department and training.
  • Monitor incoming wood loads and remove any contamination, such as paper, plastic, etc if required and requested; any hazardous must be reported to line management.
  • General housekeeping and cleaning, to include the use of air hose lines, non-powered hand tools.
  • Load inspection and packaging duties if trained.
  • Assist with site maintenance within own capabilities.
  • Loading vehicle and containers with product when required.
