Enva Specialist Scotland is seeking an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to safely transport hazardous goods by road while complying with strict legal, safety, and environmental regulations. This is a full-time, permanent role in Lugton.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, secure, and unload hazardous cargo properly
- Check vehicle safety (daily inspections, defect reporting)
- Ensure correct documentation and labelling for ADR loads
- Follow route plans and safety procedures, especially for high-risk materials
- Respond correctly in case of emergencies (spills, leaks, accidents)
- Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport department
- Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns
- Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions
- Operate vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab
- Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence on Enva reporting system
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Hold a valid HGV licence
- Hold ADR licence covering tanks and packages
- Hold a valid digital tachograph card and have completed all CPC requirements
