To deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts and insightful reporting to support improvements in business performance, assisting the Financial Controller and Senior management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivery of accurate month-end accounts to the agreed deadline.
- Review and explain key variances against budgets/forecasts on an ongoing basis.
- Suggest improvements to the month end process where appropriate.
- Assist in the development of standardised business performance reports / profitability analysis.
- Reconcile all Balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, review any reconciling differences with the Financial Controller and agree corrective action.
- Own and develop robust intercompany accounting processes.
- Assist with year-end audit process.
- Deliver accurate month-end accounts by working day 8 after month-end.
- Posting of journals e.g. stock usage, accruals & prepayments, accrued revenue.
- Assist in preparation of monthly management meeting presentations.
- Work closely with the central finance team in providing regular monthly reporting and answering any queries.
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
- Monitor / report on accounts activities and provide relevant information to senior management.
- Reconcile all monthly balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and review with the Financial Controller.
- Manage monthly intercompany balance reconciliation to agreed deadlines liaising with counterparts in Enva group companies.
- Develop standardised reporting to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide specific CapEx and Working Capital analysis and project support as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Part qualified CIMA/ACCA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and formal documentation skills.
- Analytical and logical in approach with the ability to analyse data and an attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective and positive working relationships within and outside of the department.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively and to plan and manage own agenda.
- Must have a proactive and safety focused approach.
- Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with an excellent knowledge of Excel and good working knowledge of the other main Microsoft packages.
- Ideally proficient in report writing software e.g. – JET Reporting / Power BI.
