We're seeking a HGV Driver, Class 2 to join our Newbridge depot. This role is a permanent role, 6:00-16:00, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
  • Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
  • Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
  • Waste Transportation: Operate vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
  • Ensure compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
  • Complete all relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
  • Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company's safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
  • Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Manage Stock Numbers & Stock Area.
