Enva is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the team at our Gateshead depot. This is a standalone role where you will act as the sole sales representative for the site, taking full ownership of business development across the region. You will work independently to drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients, alongside managing and expanding existing accounts within the hazardous waste sector. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Gateshead, with regular travel to customer sites and other Enva locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across key industries (e.g., manufacturing, chemicals, healthcare, construction)
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Lead tender submissions, bids, and contract negotiations
  • Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for major accounts
  • Conduct regular client reviews to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Maintain a strong understanding of hazardous waste classifications, handling, and disposal methods
  • Advise clients on compliant and cost-effective waste management solutions
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation (e.g., environmental and health)
