enua is an integrated medical cannabis company with a mission to give patients safe and reliable access to treatment. We are the second-largest supplier in the German market and a fast-growing international group, on track for around €100m in group revenue in 2026 with a double-digit EBITDA margin. Founded in Cologne in 2018, we have built a profitable business across our own products and more than 700 partner pharmacies. Now we are bringing that to the UK. Medical cannabis is one of the fastest-growing areas of UK healthcare: around 140,000 people will be prescribed it in 2026, up from around 100,000 a year earlier. Yet an estimated 1.8 million people in the UK already use cannabis to manage a health condition, mostly outside the legal system. That is more than 10x today’s market, in a category that is still largely uncharted. We are building a clinic and platform that makes care simpler, faster and more personal. Our UK team is at an early stage, which means real ownership, real impact and the chance to shape how we work from day one.

The role:

  • Location: London, 4 days a week in the office
  • Reporting to: MD and Co-Founder UK
  • Employment type: Full-time, permanent

As Head of Product & Technology, you will own the platform at the heart of enua UK: the patient-facing product and the systems behind it, from first visit through consultation, prescription and repeat order. We want patients to genuinely love using us, and this role is central to making that happen. It is a founding leadership role and one of the most important hires we will make.

You will not start from a blank page: we have already built a modern, AI-native platform. You will take it forward: setting the strategy for how it evolves, making the big build, buy and partner calls, and shipping the features that make us the easiest and most trusted way for UK patients to access care. You will be hands-on from day one, sit on our management team alongside our MD and Co-Founder, and work closely with our group technology team.

Tasks:

  • Platform strategy: Set the strategy for our UK platform so it gives us a lasting advantage through convenience, quality and cost. Build on the foundations we have and decide where we build, buy or partner across EHR, telehealth, pharmacy, payments and CRM.
  • Leadership: Be a core member of our management team, jointly responsible for the strategy and execution of the business. Build and lead a high-performing product and engineering function as we scale, working closely with group colleagues.
  • Patient experience: Own the end-to-end patient product, from first visit to repeat order, and drive exceptional patient satisfaction. Set the roadmap with the MD and management team, balancing the needs of patients, clinicians and operations.
  • Hands-on build: Build and ship yourself. Balance pace with reliability, keep technical debt in check, and set high standards for architecture, security and AI-assisted code.
  • Testing, data and analytics: Own end-to-end testing and optimisation, from UX to back end, and the tracking, analytics and reporting the business runs on.
  • AI agenda: Set the AI agenda for the organisation, finding where it can improve the patient experience and how we work, and making sure it is used safely.
  • Compliance and clinical safety: Make sure our platform meets the standards of a regulated healthcare provider, including CQC, UK GDPR and clinical safety (DCB0129/DCB0160), working with our group quality and regulatory teams.

Requirements:

  • A product leader: 7+ years in product and technology, with at least 3 leading a product or engineering function. Obsessed with patient experience, with strong UX instincts and the ability to turn patient and commercial needs into a clear roadmap. You have hired and led teams and been part of a management team.
  • Technically deep: Strong architectural judgement, able to set technical direction, review code (including AI-generated code) and build data and analytics the business can rely on.
  • A builder: You have taken a digital product from 0 to 1 and on through rapid scale, ideally in D2C subscription, telehealth or digital health.
  • Regulation-ready: Experience delivering in a regulated environment (healthcare, pharma, fintech or similar), and comfortable with data protection, security and clinical safety.
  • Commercially sharp: You make smart build, buy and partner decisions with an eye on total cost and speed.
  • Hands-on and AI-first: You still enjoy building and shipping yourself, and use AI to move faster and do more.
  • Define a new category: Medical cannabis is still young in the UK. You will build the platform that sets the standard for how patients access care.
  • Build it with the founding team: A seat on our small management team from day one, working side by side with our MD and Co-Founder.
  • Real ownership: Own the platform, the roadmap and the technology choices, with the mandate to build the team and partner ecosystem to deliver them.
  • A fast-growing market: Patient numbers are growing by around 40% a year, with more than 10x headroom still to come.
  • Work that matters: What you build will make it easier for people with long-term conditions to get treatment that works for them.
  • Serious backing: The support of a profitable European healthcare group with real credentials in products, pharmacy and telemedicine.

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive team and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. Excited but not sure you tick every box? We would still love to hear from you. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the process, just let us know.
