We are a fast-growing European healthcare company operating at the intersection of medical cannabis, digital health, and regulated healthcare services. With a strong, profitable core business in Europe, centralized group functions (including procurement, finance, supply chain, and quality/regulatory), and a proven operational backbone, we are now building a scalable UK-based clinic and technology platform. Our ambition is to redefine patient access, experience, and outcomes by tightly integrating technology, clinical workflows, and data-driven growth.
This is more than a clinical role — it's an opportunity to combine hands-on patient care with innovation, education, and clinical leadership in one of the UK's most exciting areas of healthcare. As General Practitioner, you will work closely with our Head of Clinical Services, prescribing pharmacists, nurses, and consultants to deliver safe, evidence-led care to patients exploring medical cannabis treatment. You will help build the clinical backbone of our UK platform, contribute to training, and act as a senior clinical voice across complex cases.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct video-based new patient assessments and ongoing reviews, evaluating medical suitability for treatment.
- Take thorough medical histories and apply strong clinical judgment to guide care decisions in a time-efficient manner.
- Act as an escalation point for complex safeguarding issues alongside our clinical governance team.
- Provide advice on complex clinical queries and support the upskilling of our wider clinical team.
- Ensure accurate, compliant patient records in line with our governance protocols.
- Provide patients with clear, supportive guidance on next steps in their treatment journey.
- Collaborate across the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe prescribing pathways.
- Contribute to the development of innovative patient pathways, clinical processes, and quality standards.
- Prescribe under a formal shared care agreement framework alongside specialist consultants, acting as the named non-specialist prescriber where clinically appropriate; all patients on shared care are subject to regular clinical reviews.
- Complete a structured and intensive induction before assuming independent prescribing responsibilities: observe a minimum of three MDT meetings, shadow three full clinics, and complete a supervised induction period of up to three months.
- Complete mandatory annual Medicines Management and Controlled Drugs Governance training given the shared care prescribing of Schedule 2 controlled drugs.
- Obtain documented informed consent and assess mental capacity prior to all prescribing decisions, in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Prescribe on the basis of independent clinical judgment; prescribing decisions are not linked to volume targets, revenue incentives, or product preferences.
- Participate in the monthly clinical audit cycle, including consultation note audits, prescribing rationale reviews, and outcome audits.
- Maintain GMC revalidation and good standing throughout your employment, notifying the clinical governance team promptly of any change to your registration status.
Requirements:
What we are looking for:
- GMC-registered GP with a license to practise in the UK.
- At least 5 years of post-registration experience.
- Enhanced DBS check (to be completed prior to commencement of work).
- Complete mandatory training including medicines management, controlled drugs governance, safeguarding, and information governance modules, before commencing patient-facing duties.
- Report all incidents and significant events through our incident reporting process.
- Comply with all patient confidentiality obligations and information governance requirements as set out in our information governance and confidentiality policies at all times, including after leaving the role.
- Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously in digital-first and hybrid environments.
- Excellent communication skills and digital fluency.
- A genuine interest in innovation, health tech, and emerging therapies.
Preferred:
- Experience in telemedicine, digital health, or private clinic settings.
- Background in pain management, neurology, mental health, or complex chronic conditions.
- Prior exposure to CBMPs or a strong willingness to complete recognised medical cannabis training.
- Interest in clinical leadership, governance, or contributing to building a new clinic from the ground up.
Benefits:
- £90,000 – £100,000 base salary, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working — based out of our London setup, with flexible work-from-home arrangements.
- CPD-accredited medical cannabis education and bespoke specialist training.
- Direct exposure to clinical leadership opportunities as the UK platform scales.
- A category-defining build-up: shape clinical workflows, prescribing pathways, and patient journeys from an early stage.
If this resonates, we'd love to hear from you.
