Join us at Entrust. At Entrust, we’re shaping the future of identity‑centric security solutions. From our comprehensive portfolio of solutions to our flexible, global workplace, we empower careers, foster collaboration, and build solutions that help keep the world moving safely.
Headquartered in Minnesota, Entrust is an industry leader in identity‑centric security solutions, serving over 150 countries with cutting‑edge, scalable technologies. But our secret weapon? Our people. It’s the curiosity, dedication, and innovation that drive our success and help us anticipate the future.
Entrust is seeking a dynamic Product Counsel (Corporate Attorney level) with a passion for technology‑driven innovation to join our fast‑growing and customer‑focused global legal team. You will partner with our product, engineering, AI, geo‑expansion, and compliance teams to help scale our identity verification and AI‑enabled offerings globally in a compliant and thoughtful way. You will navigate the evolving legislative and regulatory landscape impacting our cutting‑edge products and services and support our broader go‑to‑market strategies.
Why this role is different:
- You will work on proprietary AI models and technical innovations, not just advise from a distance.
- The regulatory landscape is shifting quickly, so your work shapes how we operationalise AI, biometrics, AML/KYC, and eID across multiple jurisdictions.
- You will support global expansion across LATAM, EMEA and APAC.
- The team is collaborative and pragmatic with a sustainable pace that prioritises a strong work‑life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pragmatic, solution‑oriented legal advice to product, engineering and AI teams focusing primarily on the biometrics, fraud, AI, and platform services of our IDV offering, along with the rest of Entrust’s identity security product portfolio.
- Guide product development and launches from discovery through deployment, ensuring alignment with AI, privacy, AML/KYC, and eID laws.
- Translate regulatory and legal requirements into actionable advice for global product, engineering and AI teams.
- Review and negotiate product‑related agreements, including data sharing terms, commercial integrations, and government contracting components.
- Provide legal support for new market and product entrances across the globe (LATAM, EMEA, APAC) by mapping and tracking jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Liaise with external counsel and collaborate with internal teams on legal strategy, documentation, and timeline feasibility.
- Partner with privacy, compliance, and commercial legal colleagues on cross‑functional initiatives involving AI, biometrics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Contribute to the development of internal policies, governance tools, and scalable legal frameworks.
Basic Requirements:
- Educational Background: LLB (or equivalent, such as the GDL) from an accredited law school; additional certifications in privacy, technology law, or AI regulation are a plus. Must be authorised and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
- Work Authorization: Must have unrestricted work authorization in your jurisdiction and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
- Experience: At least 5 years post‑qualification experience, including at least 3 years in an in‑house environment.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills: demonstrated ability to understand complex legal concepts; think strategically and create trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Regulatory Expertise: Proven experience in global regulatory matters for technology companies.
- Technology Acumen: Strong background in providing legal support for product and technology teams.
Please note this is a hybrid role with 3 days in our London office.
