Qualified Social Worker, Trafford Council, Childrens Permanence Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.

The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager. The responsibilities will include:

  • Working with Children in Care; you will be a confident and ambitious worker, contributing to our journey on restorative relational practice.
  • Adopting an innovative approach to supporting children's social care and ensuring continuity of care to our vulnerable service users.
  • Having a sound knowledge of legislation relevant to this post and demonstrable insight into the issues facing children, young people, and families.
  • With strong communication and assessment skills, developing effective working relationships with families and colleagues from various agencies.
  • Writing clear and concise reports, maintaining case records, and fulfilling administrative requirements.
  • Prioritising, meeting deadlines, and problem-solving on a daily basis.
  • Liaising with other professionals.

37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation). 3 month Temporary Contract. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
