Qualified Social Worker, Swindon Borough Council, Childrens Assessment & Child Protection Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Assessment and Child Protection Service (ACP). The ACP team undertake assessments and investigations of any issues relating to child protection.
  • Carry out statutory assessments involving home visits, consulting with other professionals / practitioners and agencies, gathering information for the assessment and analysing the potential risk to any child or young person.
  • After the completion of the assessment, the case is either closed or held to the point of transfer to the Long Term Locality Teams.
  • 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
  • 3 month Temporary Contract.
  • Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
